Offshore News Mexico – Veracruz:

The National Hydrocarbons Commission (Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos) approved HOKCHI energy’s 2022 work program and budget in contract CNH-R03-L01-AS-CS-15/2018.

It is located in the geological province of Salina del Itsmo, offshore in the shallow waters of the oil province of Cuencas del Sureste off the coast of the state of Veracruz. It has a total area of 267,760 km2 with a depth of 30 m.

The operator will carry out the following activities: Administration, management of activities, and expenses of the project. Economic technical evaluations. Pre-processing, processing, interpretation, and reprocessing of seismic data as well as an analysis of the oil systems and the structural and stratigraphic interpretation. Characterization of deposits, consolidation of prospects, and finally, environmental impact studies. These activities will be finished at a time estimated from January 1, 2022, to December 12, 2022.

The investment program amounts to 2.15 MMUSD.
