Hess Corporation Achieves Remarkable Production Milestone at Payara, Offshore Guyana – Paving the Way for Future Developments
Demonstrating a commendable commitment to energy advancement, Hess reached an initial production capacity of approximately 220,000 gross barrels of oil per day (bopd) by January 2024 at Payara.
This achievement not only reflects the company’s prowess in resource management but also its dedication to progressive energy exploration and production.
The fourth quarter of 2023 saw remarkable growth in Hess’s operations at the Stabroek Block, where it holds a 30% interest. The company reported a net production of 128,000 bopd, a significant rise from the 116,000 bopd recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The production commencement from the Prosperity FPSO at Payara notably contributed 14,000 net bopd in this quarter.
