Congratulations to Shell for starting another successful deepwater production at PowerNap, a subsea development located in the south-central Mississippi Canyon area, approximately 240km from New Orleans in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, at a water depth of 1,280m (4,200ft) with estimated peak production of 20,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d). PowerNap is a tie-back to the Shell-operated Olympus production hub in the prolific Mars Corridor, in which the operator has been producing for more than 25 years.
