Equinor and Polenergia Secure Key Permits for Baltic Offshore Wind Projects!
Congratulations on a major milestone by obtaining a full set of building permits for their Bałtyk 2 and Bałtyk 3 offshore wind projects in the Baltic Sea. With a combined capacity of 1440 MW, these projects are among the largest infrastructure endeavors in Poland’s history and are set to power over 2 million households with renewable energy.
Key Details:
*The Bałtyk 2 and 3 wind farms will be located 22 to 37 km off the Polish coast, featuring 100 wind turbines, offshore substations, and extensive onshore infrastructure.
*The first energy from these projects is expected to be fed into the grid by 2027, with full commercial operations beginning in 2028.
In addition to these projects, Equinor and Polenergia are also progressing with the Bałtyk 1 project, which will add up to 1560 MW to Poland’s renewable energy capacity.
