Roberto Soler is the new Cameron Operations Manager for Mexico and Central America, position in which he has been since February 2019.
Before his current role, he served for 4 years as OneSubsea Projects and Operations Director for North and South America during a period of consolidation that led to combining responsibilities for Major Capital Projects, Installation and Commissioning and Life of Field support. Roberto directed successful efforts to earn more Supplier Led business and increase the adoption of equipment that enables faster deliveries, more efficient rig schedules, and earlier production.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Roberto moved to the United States to earn his Industrial and Systems Engineering degree at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He started his professional career at Milliken & Co where he led efficiency improvements in the textile industry for 6 years. Amongst his achievements during this time, he worked in Mexico to empower vendors to cut and sew automotive airbags as partners rather than contractors.
After earning his MBA at Harvard Business School, Roberto joined Cameron’s Mergers and Acquisitions group as the first step in the Energy industry. He progressed through Plant, Project and Regional roles with the Drilling and OneSubsea segments always focused on authentic leadership and adopting best practices from various industries.
