Puteri is currently the Exploration Manager of PETRONAS Mexico; managing 6 blocks in Salina Basin under Exploration department.
She started her career in PETRONAS in seismic acquisition & processing, supporting PETRONAS operations mainly in Malaysia projects and Egypt. During thet period, she also led several rig-site operations including site surveys and well drilling.
Subsequently she was appointed to the Malaysia Exploration Project, focusing on block-scale propect maturation, prospect selection, well planning and exploration drilling in basement and clastic play in Malay Basin. She was then made the Team Leader for Malaysia Exploration, during which time she undertook various capacities in managing exploration blocks and driving their techno-commercial reviews. Some of her key deliverables include a number of Basement and HPHT discoveries, namely, Anding Tengah-2, Gelama-1, Ledang Tengah Timur-1. During her tenure, Puteri also led cross-functional teams within various disciplines under the Strategic Iniciarive Projects including Shallow Gas Exploration in Domestic New Ventures.
Puteri has had international exposure as the Geoscience Manager for PETRONAS Global New Ventures where she led regional geological & geophysical studies in Middle East and Central Asia supporting international block acquisition efforts. She also led in the 2017 Business Plan and Growth Opportunities exercise to determine strategic international investment locations for PETRONAS Exploration.
Puteri earned her B.Sc. in Remote Sensing from the University of Technology Malaysia and a M.Sc. in Petroleum Geoscience at the PETRONAS University of Technology in collaboration with Institute Français du Petrol (IFP). She is married with three sons and one daughter and enjoys spending her free time travelling with her family.
