Born in Guadalajara, State of Jalisco, on March 9, 1957, he studied Civil Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Guadalajara from 1974 to 1979.
In March 1980 he started his career in Petróleos Mexicanos as Offshore Platform Installation Supervisor until 1999 directly participating in the installation of 199 offshore structures.
In 1999 he joined the Cantarel Field Modernization and Optimization Project and in June 2000 he was appointed Facilities and Support Services Manager, from this date up to March 2014 was Construction Manager in different periods in PEP’s 4 Regions, retiring in March 2014. Amongst his achievements in Pemex are participating as supervisor or administrator in the installation of more than 80% of the platforms in the Bay of Campeche and being at the forefront of the construction of Pemex Exploración y Producción’s most important projects.
